Mr. Wheeler came to DSI’s Chicago office in 1981 specializing in the operational and technical aspects of reorganizations and liquidations. He has provided many services to insolvent companies where the operations included specialty machine manufacturing, residential construction, scrap metal recovery, printing plants, steel distribution, machine tool manufacturing, plastic injection molding, real estate management, environmental testing, pleasure boat manufacturing, newspaper publishing, and automotive related parts sales. Additionally, he has provided consulting services to secured lenders and debtors in the collateral valuation and analysis of manufacturing operations.
Mr. Wheeler is a 1974 graduate of Western Illinois University with a degree in Industrial Technology. After graduation he was an engineer for Worthington Pump Corporation in Chicago, Illinois. Two years later, Mr. Wheeler went to Smith Tool Company, a manufacturer of industrial and construction equipment, and worked in production management as Manager of Quality Control, in research and development as Product Support Manager, and in special products development for airline and military applications.
