
David Lee, a Certified Public Accountant, joined the professional staff of DSI in the Chicago office in early 2008.
Since joining DSI, David has served as an advisor to a bank in the wind-down and recovery of secured collateral from a manufacturing company with approximately $30 million in annual revenue. He also recently assisted in the post-confirmation wind-down of a 150 year old global law firm, including analysis of the accounts receivable, bankruptcy claims, and litigation matters. In addition, David has gained experience in other bankruptcy related matters including preparation of estate income tax returns and monthly operating reports for the Office of the United States Trustee.
Prior to joining DSI, Mr. Lee worked with a REIT at First Industrial Realty Trust where he began as a staff accountant and was later promoted into a senior position. At First Industrial, Mr. Lee received a variety of experiences ranging from straight line rent, to fixed assets, and monthly financial statement reconciliations. In 2006, he was responsible for recognizing $10.15 million in straight line rent revenue and $9.7 million of revenue in 2007. He also assisted in depreciating, reconciling, and tracking $3.5 billion of assets in 2006 and 2007.
Mr. Lee received his Bachelors of Science from Purdue University with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance. While a student, Mr. Lee was an active member in several student organizations, and he interned in an accounting position at the Department of Defense Finance and Accounting Services in Indianapolis.
