Jennifer Adle joined the professional staff of DSI’s Los Angeles office in October 2007. Since joining DSI, Ms. Adle has honed her skills in a variety of areas, including complex litigation of bankruptcy estate issues, forensic accounting, unraveling complex real estate transactions, funds tracing, and preferential and fraudulent transfer analysis. She is also adept at estate administration, including final collections of remaining accounts receivable, financial reporting, negotiating claim disputes, and creditor distributions.
Ms. Adle was actively involved in the fraud investigation in the USA Commercial Mortgage matter, helping to uncover systematic transactions among company affiliates by insiders that effectively transformed the company’s loan servicing operations into a massive Ponzi-like scheme going back more than six years. That investigation has led, in part, to the estate’s recovery of some $40 million over the initial assets transferred to the Trust.
Ms. Adle manages the complex appeals process involving a $3.3 million Medicare claims dispute of the now defunct Rehabilitation Institute of Santa Barbara, a non-profit medical rehabilitation services provider. She has also supported the DSI team in the wind down of Heller Ehrman, LLP, a San Francisco-based law firm founded in 1890, by assisting in the liquidation of the firm’s premier art collection and a vast legal library.
Ms. Adle obtained a Paralegal Certificate with an emphasis in litigation from UCLA Extension, an ABA-accredited program that is offered in cooperation with the UCLA School of Law. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a double major in Global Studies with an emphasis in Socio-Economics and Politics, and Studio Art (Fine Arts). As part of the Global Studies curriculum, Ms. Adle studied abroad for one academic year at the Universidad de Cordoba in Cordoba, Spain and at Carlos III Universidad in Madrid, Spain.
Ms. Adle is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and Los Angeles Paralegal Association Bankruptcy Section. Ms. Adle also holds a California real estate salesperson license.
