
Christopher Adams joined DSI’s headquarters in Chicago in January 2009. Since joining DSI, Mr. Adams has been active in a number of the firm’s engagements, including Mid-America Agri Products - Horizon, an alternative energy producer in Nebraska, where he prepared monthly cash collateral budgets, thirteen week cash flow forecasts, and weekly budget to actual reports. He also researched and sourced potential strategic and financial buyers, created marketing materials and established an electronic data room to facilitate the due diligence process for the sale of assets.
Currently, Mr. Adams serves on the financial advisory team in the matter of PPA Holdings, which along with 21 related entities, owned and managed approximately 50 multi-family properties with over 2,000 units in California and Arizona. Mr. Adams has provided assistance to the debtors related to the preparation of cash collateral budgets, provided consultation and assistance to generate strategies to maximize property cash flow through overhead reduction and expenditure controls, prepared monthly budget to actual reports pursuant to the existing cash collateral orders and prepared cash flow models under various reorganization scenarios as requested by the debtors, the Unsecured Creditors Committee, and the Chapter 11 Trustee.
Prior to joining DSI, Mr. Adams worked with Citadel Solutions, a subsidiary of Citadel Investment Group, and was responsible for the financial reporting and analysis for a group of multi-strategy hedge funds with over $2 billion in assets under management.
Mr. Adams received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Kentucky with a major in Accounting and while there completed two internships, including an internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers at its Los Angeles office. Mr. Adams is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Illinois Society of CPAs and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
